camp friendship news it was a hot and happening week at camp friendship this week monday began with extra fun in the pool and continued with everyone enjoying homemade popcorn while watching monsters inc arriving back at camp on tuesday we walked in to a carnival we had a lot of fun shaving balloons with a spoon sifting through flour to find pennies throwing sponges at counselors amongst more it was so much fun we wish there were carnivals every day more special treats continued as we went to a magic show on wednesday at echo park we were fascinated by the tricks the magician was able to do and he was so funny he was also wearing some pretty cool shoes the fun continued back at the jcc as we made pretty sand art creations with sand we made ourselves on thursday we made really fun gingerbread puppets and sharona told us the story of the naughty gingerbread man we had yet another treat when pinny s mother came with ice cream to celebrate his 6th birthday the birthday celebrations continued on friday when chris celebrated his 11th birthday happy birthday pinny and chris we are so happy we were able to celebrate your birthdays in camp the week came to a close with one final special treat shoshana taught us how to take dough and make all sorts of shapes with them enjoy the smell of homemade challah white bread while they re baking in your oven we would like to say goodbye to our counselors ofir sarfatty and renee kaplowitz thank you so much for all your hard work enjoy the rest of your summer and you will be missed camp friendship hopes everyone has a great weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone on monday gayle sharona sara and debra
