it is with immense pleasure that i write this message for the 2011 edition of the kainat magazine the editorial team and its efforts were largely under the weather due to technical difficulties and un-avoidable focusing of the foundations energies into matters more eminent the renewed publication of the magazine is a source of pride for me because it signifies at some subliminal level that in our efforts of progressing we are realizing aims that we set up long back ago chairman s address working together for a better tomorrow our vision though simple enough ­ ensuring and providing education to children who are not for lack of better term privileged enough to attend any sort of educational institution ­ by the continued efforts of their more privileged fellows does not end there though it is often said that the sky is the limit this i believe does not apply to dreams and with every dream successfully realized we have dreamt more with every dare that has materialized right we are raging to dare more even though i have assumed a tone of self-satisfaction ­ and i am sure you will agree ­ we are also indebted to our contributors supporters and well-wishers who have journeyed with us through thick and thin to let us be where we are today.dreams remain just that dreams if no efforts are expended and strides made towards their fulfillment the least of which is not the support ­ monetary and emotional ­ that i have alluded to previously and in my parting words i implore you too reader join us ­ for a better tomorrow shakil ahmed kakvi founder chairman we dreamt we dared we did when the foundation was conceived as a germ of an idea the most distinguishing facet of it was to be that rather than choose the well-trodden path of entrusting the workings and leadership of such an organization to adults and thereby ensuring its mediocrity as one among the millions this organization would be one in a million by encouraging students and youths to be its primary members volunteers and care-takers at the heart of the organizations ideology is the simple belief that education is not a privilege that a few can garner but a right that every child should be ensured with thus it was that students came to be the mind body and soul of this organization they have grown in body in mind and in stature since their first involvements with the foundation and so has this germ of an idea.

education for all each child-teach child what theme would you guess runs a common string through ancient greece in tumultuous europe to pacifist india when the vedas were being written to the orient what common theme would you find in the proverbs the koran and the upanishads if you did not guess that it is education then i would advise you to read the heading the undue stress that is placed on the importance of wisdom knowledge and education by all those ancient societies cannot be coincidental and that stress is never more important than it is today yet there are millions of children who are not even provided with a glimpse of an opportunity for education as the original seed of an idea behind the mustard tree our theme of providing education for the underprivileged is the one dearest to our heart likewise boys who have had an education find themselves better equipped to break the cycle of poverty haunting them thus armed with a mission to provide quality education for a group of children in a district in one the most poverty stricken states of india kainat foundation has made enormous strides with the support donations and the ever-welcome work of volunteers kainat nagar kako village of jehanabad district bihar state situated in india s east one of its most remote and most problematic naxalite affected districts conflicts often occurs among the people based on upper and lower cast which results in children unattended uncared and kept far away the facts regarding education can be rather astounding like from their natural childhood the child smile and tear tells all the fact that 94 of children who do not attend school are in stories of their positive thinking strong will power free from the developing world delving into reasons why a child might all biased feelings and dream for a better peaceful world not attend school a picture of ignorance poverty and lack of as one home for all by keeping all these in mind the idea opportunity emerges the poorer a child the less likely the came in mind of mr shakil ahmed kakvi,founder of kainat child is to attend school families below the poverty line often foundation that the younger generation can bridge the gap rely on child labour and the menial tasks that they make their between existing problems and children do for meagre wages for overall development of his district income thus children are pulled jehanabad bihar why not start a basic education links the children out of school for seasonal work or school with quality education at whether of the cities or the villages not sent to school at all the door step of kako villagers with to all that is best and lasting in india the resources available with him as two-thirds of children who drop -mahatma ghandi teacher out of school are girls while both poor boys and poor girls have a on 8th february 1999 mr kakvi difficulty obtaining education girls established kainat international school at kainat nagar are often discriminated against on the basis of their gender at kako jehanabad bihar ,keeping in mind that this school a cultural level the irony of it all is that having an education will produce tomorrow s best educators administrators is a sure-fire way to get out of poverty girls who are educated social workers doctors nurses scientist environmentalists are more likely to have families that are better off than those journalist sportsman and leaders but also healthy mothers who are not they are more likely to marry later in life have and a responsible engaged citizen healthier children and find work opportunities beyond home.

the goal was set education for all the work started with five children in a rented building with all limitations and problems mr kakvi motivated young students to adopt one non school going child of their own village for education under the slogan each child-teach child its aim molding the child is not just a subject of change but also the agent of change it brought very good result within year more than 160 children were under one roof for education and the efforts of children working as agent of change were awarded for noble work people extended helping hand and started supporting with school uniform,educational materials and volunteering themselves as teacher teacher volunteers came from spain and canada to tech village children at kainat international school the motivated staff at kainat international school has seen this change in the last 12 years many children are now eager to slip on their smart gray and white kainat uniform and carry backpacks with pencil and paper but 12 years ago the founder and its dedicated team in kainat s first class represented 12 hard-won steps towards education as a community value as more students like shabana demonstrate the long-term benefits gained by education more girls are declaring their own career aspirations­doctor and teacher being the two most popular­and asking their parents to send them to school with increasing success our former students are some of our strongest advocates too visiting the schools and community to talk to parents about the value of education recently 50 children were supported for education in kiant international school by mr ganesh kumar superintendent of police jehanabad district their mothers said they want their own children to have a better life than the one they themselves lead.
