lake hood ski jump i heard the smooth slick sound of the motor running on the club boat it sent a deep shiver down my spine and from that moment i knew that this would be an unforgettable experience it left such a clear picture in my mind i could still tell the whole story and not miss one single detail it was the first time i went over the lake hood waterski jump it was a beautiful sunny summer day and everything had gone just as planned not one white fish was in the breezy blue ocean above me i closed my eyes and listened to the waves splashing up on my face it felt chilly and cold but somehow i loved it i couldn t even describe the feeling excited but nervous worried yet ecstatic i pulled my helmet over my head zipped up my life jacket slipped on my long clunky ski s and wobbled over to the edge of the dock i glanced into the distance and it scared me a bit but i have no regrets so i knew that soon it would be all worth it time flew by and i was already hovering around in the clear blue water the boat revved faster and faster louder and louder this proved it was my time the rope pulled tight as well as all the bones in my body i soon appeared visible behind the boat three rounds of jump sets then the real thing closer and closer i came to the jump that ski jump i heard my ski s grind in the bottom of the ramp as i flew up and over in the air screaming with excitement or fear i wasn t really sure at the time i landed with a big splash i gripped the rope about as tight as i thought was possible my ski s came out from beneath me and i took a smooth landing my heart was racing i had done it after i got out of the water i went to see dad who was waiting for me on the dock butterflies filled my stomach waiting to see his reaction as i struggled to pull myself onto the dock it felt as if i could almost feel his happiness my dad is my inspiration he s the one that makes this possible for me i couldn t do any of this without him seeing him afterwards the happiness in his eyes i knew he was as proud as i was by shay

off we go i m shaking i don t know whether to be excited or petrified the engine roars as the whizzing of the propeller on the plane roars i walk into the freshened air of the aeroplane when the door of the plane shuts it sounds like a thousand washing machines outside the air hostess escorts me and my mum into our seats my mum grips the chair and hugs me tightly the minutes seem like hours and everyone was tortured remembering all the crashes and engine failures it s all i can think about i hear a rumble and hear a turn looking around to find people acting normal i look out the window finally we re here the burning sun makes me want to get back into the plane battling and clinging to my mum trying not to get lost in a massive crowd of people waiting to get plane number two to los angeles oh even more jet lag i think to myself it was the worst flight ever the seats were hard but after a while i felt the magic in the sky by mia-rose

when a dream goes kapow whizzing with excitement i walk through the doors of the hairdresser not to get a hair cut but to achieve my dream of getting my ears pierced gazing upon the magnificent earrings pierced into the cardboard i can hardly wait hesitating i choose the glistening aqua earrings slowly i walk to the seat looking through the glass window of the shop i feel that i am as still as a stick out comes the gun i feel as if i m a fire breathing dragon ready to catch the prey the gun comes closer i kick i yell i scream circulating around my ears is a pencil reaching its way closer to me again i try to kick my way out of the seat edging it way closer the gun moves i pull my head away now i have just about blown up the prey blood is rushing throughout my body like fire is chasing it ahh the gun is pinching my tender little ear i screech like a car when it roars up its engine red hot fiery blood rushes around my body as it pinches harder and harder i try and try to edge my way out of the chair but i don t succeed the more i try the answer is always the same .slightly moving is the earring and it creeps into my ear steadily the earring creeps further and further into my ear heart pumping feet wobbling as the earring makes it way through as my eyes close i feel as though i am jumping on nails steadily the earring moves through my body it feels like someone has stabbed me with sharp scissors carefully they pull the gun out no more than a split second later i was screaming again as i stumble out of the hairdressers i take a peak at my earrings in the car window for the rest of my life i will always remember the pain it wasn t that bad was it by georgia

sunny holiday to picton engines roaring waves splashing crisp sun burning all happening as we start to get ready to go out into the brisk chilly waves on our hundred horse powered boat as we scream out on our boat we can feel tiny water particles stinging our face as the speed starts to pick up i stretch my legs as i hop up from my comfy couch and start to hobble over the white planks into the cabin the waves are so bumpy it feels like i m walking on water as i get into the small rickety cabin i see my funny cousins play a weird game one moment they re screaming and the other moment they re laughing so i yell at the top of my voice can i play suddenly the boat stops and there s a loud screeching sound i hear my dad say we are here as i tighten my trusty shimano reel on my thin stick like rod my dad ties a sharp steel hook and a lead sinker on my nylon line i let my line fall to the depths of the dark blue ocean i feel a tug on my line as i wait for the perfect time to strike all of a sudden my reel starts screaming the line starts to fray and my rod starts to bend like a wet stick off a willow tree i tried to wind as the pressure stronger and bigger everyone is standing around me like i ve got presents for them i notice a slight movement in the water which seems to look like a big piece of moving silver as the shinny object gets closer i start to recognize what it is i mumble to myself it s a tarakihi i haul the half metre fish up on the fraying line as blood rushes through my body luckily we flip the huge fish into the boat and we get ready to head of into the horizon as we zoom out on our two ton boat we notice a bright iridescent fish jumping out of the water like a kangaroo we realize what it is as we take photos of it non stop like we re all paparazzi i whisper to my self that it is a seven foot long dolphin we all stop taking photos as the spectacular orange coloured sun looks like it s diving into the great blue sea as we start to get closer to the bay we can all see beautiful bright lights surrounding the town all the boats around us start shaking slightly as we cruise past them as we haul our twenty foot boat up the twenty degrees launching ramp i take off my big puffy life jacket i hop in the back seat of my brothers black truck and think of the remarkable day i have had by dallas
