Dear Friends: Thank you to all those that prayed and partnered with us on a successful missions trip to Colombia. It was a joy to reconnect with the jungle work originally established by Sophie Muller. We look forward to the opportunities for printing Bibles in the Indian languages. Pray for wisdom and the funds to reach these precious people with the Word of God. Our prayer letter and the enclosed article “A Miracle in the Jungle” will give you a bit of update. Please consider a special gift for the Bible printing. God Bless you all. For Christ and souls, Ronnie L. Williamson Isa. 40:31 Happy Trails! NEWS BITS FROM HERE AND THERE A world away – So often as Christians our world is narrowed to tunnel vision. We see such a small piece of all God is doing. Think about this. There are about 318 million people in the United States of America. Yet there are over 7 billion people worldwide. Sometimes we think the universe revolves around our world or what’s going on in the USA. However, the U.S. accounts for only 4.4% of the total world population. God’s Word puts it all in perspective with His great commission. The church is to manage and disperse His resources. Acts 1:8 gives us the map for this plan. “…ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Indeed we have a calling to go beyond our comfort zone and into the regions beyond. After School Satan logo (The Satanic Temple) If you are a Satanist and you know it clap your hands – Reports are that a Portland, OR school has approved a Satanic after school club. proposed for Atlanta, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Washington, DC, Springfield, MO and Pensacola, FL. Seattle apparently has already approved a club. Need we wonder or be perplexed at the horrific acts occurring across this nation and in government run schools? God is not the author of confusion – At a God and Country rally I heard Rick Perry give testimony of Jesus and sound like a Bible believing preacher. I did not watch it, but the governor has stooped to Dancing with the Falling Stars. Of course, we’ve got young people in their ballet/gymnastic classes, dancing deacons, and sippin’ saints in our fundamental churches now. What happened to come out from among them and be ye separate? God is not the author of confusion. The devil’s diversion – Our perverted news media focuses on fat women in beauty pageants and overlooks Benghazi and missing classified emails. Where is real substance and answers for the crisis facing America? There is a train wreck waiting to happen. Jesus was her motivation and message. So from New York City to the jungle of Colombia and Venezuela, Sophie Muller spent a lifetime sharing the gospel with the Indians of the Amazonas. Miraculously, she survived a trial by poison. Read this amazing story in His Voice Shakes the Wilderness. After Sister Sophie graduated to heaven in 1995, The Voice in the Wilderness Ministry reprinted Sophie’s Bible translation work in Curipaco, Piapoco, Puinave, and Guahibo languages. In 1999 Brother Williamson was privileged to stand where Sophie served for 50 years and witness 1500 precious souls come walking through the jungle and canoeing down the Orinoco to receive the Word of God in their indigenous language. Indeed it was a blessing to behold the hunger for heavens message. For two IS GOD’S WORK IN YOUR WILL? “One of the most important documents a man ever signs is his Will. I can tell better what a man had in his heart by reading his Will than I can by reading his obituary. His obituary tells the world what his friends thought of him; his Will reveals what he had in his heart.” - A. M. Vollmer For as (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he- Proverbs 23:7. Out of (the heart) are the issues of life - Proverbs 4:23. A bequest in your Will to The Voice in the Wilderness, Inc. can assure that the outreach of this ministry at home and abroad will continue after you have gone to your eternal reward. Prayerfully consider us in your Estate Planning. Thank you! 6•The Voice in the Wilderness -September 2016 Virtual Edition

days people stood in line to get Bibles. Hallelujah! Sadly, shortly thereafter, Hugo Chavez came to power and expelled missionaries from the jungle. The Voice in the Wilderness Ministry continued work in the cities, but for well over a decade lost communication with the jungle work. Then the phone call came and another miracle. Pastor Walt Lanier and Missionary Jim Gage had met some of the Indians that received Bibles The Voice in the Wilderness had printed in 1999. What a joy to once again behold God’s promise in real time as “thy fruit remains” and HIS work and Word continues against great opposition. Brother Williamson and Brother Lilly traveled to Colombia in 2016. While preaching in Villavicencio, the Lord’s hand was again evident. Bro. Humberto, a co-labourer with Lino and Pablo (Indian preachers that worked directly with Sophie Muller), was in town to have eye surgery. This surprise meeting with one of the jungle workers was just another part of the continued miracle in the jungle. Pray with us that the Lord’s blessing will continue in the jungle Lino ministry. Consider your prayers and partnership in the continued mission to unreached language and people groups in the jungle. As funds are given, The Voice in the Wilderness will assist missionaries in taking Bible and a witness to the precious people groups Sophie faithfully served. Be a part of this miracle.
