International University «MITSO» was the first Belarusian university to sign the Great Charter of Universities on September 18, 2015.
In 2015 the construction of a new modern academic building was completed.
In October 2014 a memorandum of cooperation with the Regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova was signed.
In September 2009 a new resource center on international humanitarian law was opened at our university. The activities of the Center are supported by the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations.
We signed an agreement with Microsoft In April 2014. It gives the university free access to advanced information technologies, including IT-Academy and Office365. The IT-Academy operates at our University. It allows for education through stationary and distance learning thanks to Microsoft authorized courses and for taking examinations for the international certificate of IT-professional or user.
The Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Cambridge was signed in November 2013 by its unit – the examination committee of Cambridge University and the Department of Tests in English, University of Cambridge. The aim of this cooperation is to improve the quality standards of education in the field of teaching English as a foreign language to bring it into accordance with international standards.
On January 30, 2012 International University «MITSO» received certificates of state accreditation in line with the profile of the University status.
In November 2011, the University was given the status of the National Examination Center ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages) – European Consortium for certification of knowledge of modern foreign languages. In the period from 2012 to 2016 in the framework of the National Examination Center ECL 393 students of law and economics were tested.
Since September 2011 International University «MITSO» has been a member of the International Association of Universities, which unites more than 600 higher education institutions in 150 countries around the world.
On September 1, 2010 International University «MITSO» received the international certificate of quality management system in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation from UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service). The Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas Certification, the company in the field of certification, is recognized in more than 150 countries around the world, which greatly improves the status and prestige of the University in the world educational arena.
Since August 2010 International University «MITSO» has been a member of the «Academic Impact» program. Academic Impact is a global initiative that brings institutions of higher education together with the United Nations. The aim of it is to support ten universally accepted principles concerning human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution.
The Center for Labour Law, which is engaged in the research of labour law and labour relations in the Republic of Belarus and other countries, is functioning in the university. Since 2012 the Centre for Labour Law has been a member of the research network, founded in 2011. It brings research institutes (centers) around the world together and is devoted to the study of Labour Law.
The Center for Labour Law performs the functions of the national information centre of the International Labour Organisation on safety and health.
The University is a member of the international educational and academic association of institutions in the sphere of social and labour education.
Since 2003 in the University there has been a branch of the UNESCO department on information technologies and law. The aim of the department is to distribute academic, methodological and educational information in the sphere of legal informatization, training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in accordance with the projects of UNESCO.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons not residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus have the right to get higher education:
For a fee in accordance with the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus;
For a fee as a result of graduating from the preparatory department of the university;
For a fee based on interviews to establish proficiency of the language in which the educational process is carried out, in an amount sufficient to get the higher education.

FOREIGN STUDENTS AT OUR UNIVERSITY
Students from 12 countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Vietnam, Tajikistan and Ukraine are trained at International University «MITSO».
Due to active participation of the University in International educational, cultural and scientific programs such as ERASMUS+, DAAD, CEI and others, and also to extensive partner relations, over the past few years students and professors of our university have participated in various international events and had internships in more than 25 countries: Armenia, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, China, Cuba, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine and Switzerland.

STUDENTS’ REWARDS IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONTESTS
Our students are participants and winners of prestigious competitions in International Law. We demonstrated great results in the Jessup Competition (USA) – 5th place in written memorials in 2015, Telders Competition (Netherlands), Pictet Competition (Switzerland), F. Martens Competition on International Humanitarian Law (Russian Federation), Willem C. Vis Competition in international commercial arbitration (Vienna, Austria), International Competition for the World Trade Organization (Lithuania), Eurasian Competition in international commercial mediation (RF), Nelson Mandela Competition (Switzerland), International Competition for the Law of the European Union (Slovakia), Competition for International Commercial Mediation (France) and others.
In 2015-2016 our students participated in 12 international competitions and Moot courts outside Belarus.
PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS IN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES In the 2015-2016 academic year the students of the University took an active part in international conferences in our country and abroad: International contest in mediation and negotiations (Austria); Minsk International Model U.N. (Belarus); The III international conference for students “Social harmony and purposes of modern youth” (China) and many others.
EDUCATIONAL EURO TOURS
Within the framework of the joint project of the University with the Center of International Relations of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the students of the University annually visit different European countries – Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Italy, France, Netherlands, Belgium and many others with educational purposes.
LECTURES BY FOREIGN EXPERTS
Every year lectures by foreign experts are held in English and Russian. In 2015 there were 17 public lectures and 4 complete courses of lectures held by experts from Poland, Israel, the UK, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, France, India, Greece and Spain.
Every year there is a course of public lectures by leading world experts in international law: Days of International Law at International University «MITSO».
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY OF THE UNIVERSITY
International University «MITSO» is the organizer of a variety of well-known International arrangements.
The Second International Educational Youth Forum of Trade Unions «TEMP-2016. Let the youth get united by work» was held in «International University «MITSO».
More than 200 young people from trade unions of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Greece, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Malaysia, Russia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine participated in the event. The Forum became the largest international discussion platform in Belarus for young people, entrepreneurs and governmental authorities.
International scientific conferences are organized by the University. They are: «Innovative economy in terms of globalization: current trends and prospects»; «The theory and practice of the professionally oriented training of foreign languages»; «Peacekeeping: new horisonts».
The International contest of scientific works on labour law of L.S. Tal, the International contest of student projects in foreign languages are held at the University annually.
On the first day the participants took part in the action «Tree of friendship». The trees were planted on the territory of the University. The newly formed «Park of Friendship» was installed with the flags of all countries-participants and special recreation zones.
XI INTERNATIONAL LAW COMPETITION “YOUTH FOR PEACE”
The international law competition «Youth for Peace» – a unique project for our country that has no equal in Eastern Europe or the CIS – is included among the three prestigious European competitions in international law.
