Brazilian Studies With a GDP of US$ 2.34 trillion in 2014, an area of 8.358.100 km2 and a population of 203.191 inhabitants, Brazil has become a reference country in the Southern Cone, Latin America and on the world stage. It is one of the leaders in commodities exportation, has a diversified industry and a service sector in expansion. However, it is also prodigal in problems and limits to economic growth. The study and understanding of the country and the links among its economy, society, and political design become essential for international business students and related fields. This program seeks to provide students with objective contents, plural theoretical interpretations and technical visits about Brazil, counting on research professors who are references in their areas of studies. Seeking for a best reception and integration of the new foreign Exchange students who come to to take part of his/her academic formation in our undergraduate and graduate programs, ARII promotes every semester the Buddy Program (PAI - Programa de Apoio ao Intercambista). The "PAI" students or former students who voluntarily offer to be the contact person and reference up to three students participating in the academic exchange during his first moments in Sao Paulo. They are willing to contact the foreign student before his/her arrival in Sao Paulo, by email, to answer questions helping on planning the trip to Brazil; assist in early daily activities; to present PUC-SP and the city of Sao Paulo, helping the student in the integration into the academic community and the local community; helping in the integration into the young and university environment, finding classrooms and answering questions; talk about life and cultural aspects of Sao Paulo and Brazil and suggest entertainment activities. My ‘PAI’ won a place in my heart, I know I can count on her whenever there is a need; she’s pleased about my achievements as if they were hers. I 100% recommend the PAI program, with eyes closed.
