azine Lily Lisa Exclusive 1st C lcasvs Philanthropist, Socialite, and Executive Producer Lily Lisa is known to friends and colleagues as “Lucky Lily” for her magnetic charm, grace, and poise which has garnered her much respect and “luck” within the Hollywood community. Growing up in Hong Kong, China, Lily Lisa, now a US citizen, came to Los Angeles with a unique perspective. As an entrepreneur and model Lily has been incredibly blessed with beauty, intelligence, success, and most importantly - a big heart. In fact, Lily has always been drawn to helping others and finds joy in giving back to her community. Upon her arrival in Los Angeles she was struck by the city’s growing homeless population and the disparity between the have and have-nots that was all around her. Inspired by her desire to make a difference, she produced and filmed a documentary-series to call attention to the issue. She continues to be an advocate for the city’s homeless population in addition to volunteering her time, efforts, and resources to make a difference. Because of her outstanding charity work and elegant charm Lily Lisa is highly regarded within the Hollywood socialite community as both a philanthropist and her on camera personality, her ability to treat everyone with respect and dignity, this has formed a strong bond with many of the homeless people that she has helped along the way. As an advocate, she strongly urges us all to appreciate what we have and find the joy in giving back to those less fortunate. Here she shares her likes and dislikes. Q&A Who was your role model as a child? “Dalai Lama is my hero, because his mind and heart is filled with wise knowledge and love for all people, especially the disadvantaged.” Back then, who was your favourite actress? “Jane Russell, I loved all her movies she was classy and glamorous with amazing style. RaQuel Sanchez by Christina V Howard Exclusive RaQuel lives in Beverly Hills, California and is a Research Assistant at North-Western University Department of Medicine and a Society Queen. With with her partner Alex Harrison they are founders of KTM (Kiss The Monkeys), a unique business, who help so many charities. RaQuel is very beautiful and intelligent, here she chats to us. © Bob Delgadillo Q&A Who was your role model as a child? “As a child, it must have been Wonder Woman. I’ve always been drawn to women of strength. I suppose back then I was painfully shy, but inwardly I yearned to be a superhero.” Did you like dressing up? “I was privileged to find dance very early in life. This gave me a chance to escape from the tomboy I grew up as, playing sports every day. Dance gave me a reason to wear glitter. Everyone woman should have the excuse to wear glitter.” Back then, who was your favourite television programmes? “The Beverly Hillbillies, Happy Days, The Monkeys, The Brady Bunch, Mork and Mindy, but my top favorite was Charlie’s Angels! GIRL POWER!! “Badassery” (excuse my candor, but....) no other word for it. Love it all!” Who were than your favourite actors and actresses? “Cary Grant, John Travolta, Audrey Hepburn, so many.” Which Hollywood Movie Stars did you find the most glamorous and stylish? “Glamorous, that would definitely be Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’. Josephine Baker, a black actress, dancer and model ahead of her time. She was one of the few actresses that broke barriers, because she had the magic to blur the stark boundaries of a black woman in the entertainment industry. Then there is swimmer/actress Esther Williams, and, of course, the siren with my namesake, Raquel Welch!” Who was your favourite actress? “Role model would be Katherine Hepburn. You can see that I have an affinity for Hollywood glamour from the 1940s. I love Hepburn for her strength. She was a woman ahead of her time with her pantsuits projecting that power woman without stripping away that sex appeal. Her confidence was her sex appeal.” Who was your favourite supermodel? “Super-model, after meeting Kelly Le Brock, though most know her as an actress, she was one of the originals in the uprising of the ‘super’ models. Spending time with her at her ranch let me know she was way more than a 10

pretty face. In fact, it surprised me that she had such an amiable sense of humor - Raunchy and smart. What I call “ratchet”. Men adored her but listened to her ideas. She played a big role in her ex-husband’s stardom. She was involved with every aspect of each project and movie she starred in. To see her is to love her, but to know her is to be hypnotized by her magic.” As a teenager, who were your favourite singers and bands? “The Beatles are one of my all time favorite bands. My love for them spills over to my appreciation for Maroon 5 and Madonna, as a dancer. I love singers with a dance background. Growing up in the age of MTV (before the reality show craze, when it was all about the music videos), Madonna ruled the world.” award-winning photographer Amie Hana who photographed me at the time of when she made the leap from nursing to photography. She has never looked back and I was lucky to be one of her first subjects. “Now being in LA I am eager to do some shoots with many of the photographers we work with for our Kiss The Monkeys events. I am just dying to work with Hamid Moslehi. He was one of Michael Jackson’s appointed photographers and has shot the most amazing photos of my friend and up-and-coming singer, Dalal Bruchman. “Alex Sher is also a friend and famous photographer who’s work I am crazy for. He does underwater photographic art. I secretly desire to be a mermaid but there is just one itsy, bity, teenie-weenie, little detail! I look like a drowning mouse when I try to swim. He has a gallery exhibition soon. I just saw one of his photographs of a pregnant woman in a mermaid costume. Wow! Just Wow!!” When did you know you wanted to do modeling? “Modelling was circumstance. My diminutive stature kept me focused on developing my dance abilities. What most people don’t know is that I am painfully shy. I could tell you this with such confident delivery; it would test your ability to to connect what you hear from what you see. It takes strained effort for me to connect and project who I am inside. You never know what is behind the curtain until you meet The Wizard.” When was your lucky break? “Life can be a series of lucky breaks. We must learn to recognize opportunity. When we can see beyond the veil of the fears and doubts we create for ourselves, good fortune finds it’s way to us.” What was your favourite ever photo shoot? “Some of my favorite photographers are the best in Chicago. John Ng was a childhood friend and just happens to be one of the most sought after photographers of the Chicago fashion scene. Then there is the 1st C lcasvs azine © Vincent A Chavez 11

For me, it’s not about the price tag, it’s about dressing for selfexpression. “Then there are my private moments when I like to sport my granny panties while I work at home on my Macbook with my Alex. (Which by the way, does not appeal to my English muffin, but oh well....).” What is your favourite beauty accessory? “I love leather cuff bracelets. I actually wrote a blog on this topic years ago. When I find extra time from doing events for Kiss The Monkeys, I will start blogging on fashion and vlo on business marketing and technology. “Check out one of my very first blogs https://fishnetraquel. mwoer-duppr-feossr.-cfoasmh/i2o0n1s-0s/a1k0e//0”2/cuff- What is your favourite fashion accessories? “Shoes! Do you sing or play musical instruments? “No, but I can cook!!” Granted a wish to live in another era, which would it be? “I am drawn to the era of old Hollywood glamour.” When did you meet Alex? “We met on Facebook about 2009. The BP Oil spill happened and he had a charity event. I had my dance troupe in Chicago back then. We wanted to lend our talents to help the cause, so we offered to perform. He flew us out to perform and we were platonic friends. Then 2 years ago when I went on vacation to New York he pursued me like it was a full time job! We eventually got together and its a very beautiful relationship, I never knew that such happiness could exist. Alex is my best friend, my lover, my partner, my life. He is my world and I am his.” RaQuel, you and Alex are a very beautiful couple, true soul mates. “Thank you Christina, your sweet, yes he is my soul mate and it’s an overwhelming joy.” Tell us about Kiss The Monkeys, and the exciting events. “Kiss The Monkeys has many exciting things in the immediate future. We are forming great collaborations with mega-personalities and highly recognized brands. So many people have cited how KTM has grown so big, so fast, considering that Alex and I just moved to LA less than 2 years ago and KTM only started less than a year ago. We have already created a portfolio with many high profile LA personalities such as famous plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei, internationally famous iconic designer Sue Wong, Art Photographer Sean O’Neal (son of Tatum O’Neal and John McEnroe), famous motivational speaker Bill Walsh, so many more and our pipeline is getting more impressive as the days pass. “We will be going LIVE with our website soon. Our Kiss The Monkeys site will give you insight into KTM’s new direction. We are lining up events to benefit some of the most reputable non-profit organizations. Kiss The Monkeys has become such a loved network/ community and I cannot thank enough all the personalities that contribute to it every day.” What are your hobbies? “Yoga, Dance, Hiking, Crossword Puzzles, and Cooking. I don’t have as much free time, because building the Kiss The Monkeys brand is all consuming lately, but I truly enjoy volunteer work. When we can staff ourselves better, I will go back to doing volunteer work again. I believe it is good to get outside of ourselves by serving others. “Follow the lead of some of the most successful people. Bill and Melinda Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Angelina Jolie, and we can see that “Philanthropy is the new black”, but let’s face it, charity has ALWAYS been cool.” What do you do to chill out? “I’ve been fixed on the presidential campaign. Am I crazy?” What are your favourite songs? “I love music. No particular songs. R and B, Vintage Rap, Hip Hop, EDM, and Pop. I think it’s so cool when they mix genres. I dig Modern Jukebox. They take popular songs and give them a spin by converting them to jazz and other genres.” Favourite all-time movie? “The Sound Of Music, I’m a sucker for an entertaining movie with historical value.” Favourite dishes? “I have had a torrid love affair with food as long as I can remember. King crab legs are my kryptonite and all Asian food, but really, I love it all. No GMO and I use only organic, quality over quantity. I love to cook and like to experiment with some new dishes.” CVH 1st Class wish to thank RaQuel for giving us a real insight into her life, and wish her all the best for the future. Kiss The Monkeys can be found on Facebook until their website is launched 13

azine 1st C Bobby HuntExclusive lcasvs by Dr Judy Rosenblum PhD Bobby Hunt has been an actor of character and magnetism in films and on television. He has the rare qualities of the old Hollywood male actors with a captivating presence that is dynamic on the screen. His feature films are Step Up Revolution, Pain and Gain, Iron Man 3, Caprikorn, and International Lovers (2016). He has acted in television shows such as Magic City; Burn Notice, and The Glades. His talents also include having been a radio personality for radio 102.1, doing modelling, and music videos. From his busy schedule, Bobby grew up in Newport, Rhode Island and then eventually moved to Key Largo, Florida where he presently lives. Through out his life, he has had people drawn to him, and he has been able to capitalize on these circumstances which enabled his talents to come to the fore. From his busy schedule, he has taken the time to chat. Dr Judith Rosenblum PhD is an accomplished Life Coach, Psychologist and Hypnotist with over 25 years of experience, highly trained, educated, with a high profile reputation. She resides in New York USA. Her hobbies are reading, watching movies and TV. She adores visiting art galleries, museums, especially performing Arts and nature. 14 Q&A Please tell us about yourself. “I was raised by my mother, a single parent, along with my brothers Earl, Chris, and Gary. My childhood was growing up in the poor part of Newport, Rhode Island. My mother was very strict but loving, and provided us with a decent environment. Staying out of trouble at school took some effort, but I was lucky to have my older brother Chris, who had my back. He was always there to help and to guide me. At age 16, I went on a spring break to Florida, loved it so much there, that I decided to stay, not return home, and got a job working in maintenance.” At what age did you begin acting and could you give us a history of your career in acting? “I got my first taste of acting in school. Then some years had passed and I volunteered to help out in a small town play at the local church to do some odd jobs that had nothing to do with acting. The play that was being done was a spoof on Star Trek, of which I was a fan. After the third or fourth rehearsal, I was asked to read for any absent actors. I read so many times that I learned the lines. Just a few days before the show, one of the actors got sick with the flu. I was asked to act his part. Not ever really being on stage as an adult, I was very nervous, but once the curtain opened, I felt like here is where I belong. Fear turned into excitement and at the end of it all, the applause made me feel something special. It was absolutely fantastic! I felt so alive and felt that I must do more of this. I have a passion for motorcycle riding and this is what got me my first job in television. My buddy received a call from a Miami talent agent looking for bikers for a couple of scenes for a television show called Burn Notice. We road our bikes to the convention centre in Coconut Grove where a set was made for filming. It was there that a photographer took some photos of our bikes, a close up of us and got our contact information. I was then later contacted and ended up working on and off as an extra for 4 seasons of Burn Notice playing a cop, a detective, an FBI agent and also just some one passing by on the side walk. This then led to other television shows such as The Glades, Magic City, Iron Man and Step Up Revolution.”

p. 15

What are some of your favourite memories growing up? “My most precious memories revolve around family time from the past and the present. I would have to say summer time at my grandparent’s house was most enjoyable. My aunts and uncles would go there to play domino’s and us kids would be playing in the pool or going down to the near by quarry to swim. We also would venture out into the woods.” Which people in your life have encouraged and supported you? “My Family has been very supportive of me and making them proud always makes me happy.” azine Who as a child was your role model? “That would be my Mom. She was always strong even when times were tough. I am sure that she must have had moments of weakness but she just seemed to get tougher through it all. She showed me that fear and sadness should be confronted and not run away from.” How did you learn to act? Did you have any particular training? “Honestly I took courses in high school and then went on to get some training in Miami, Florida dealing with smaller agents. I was told that continuing education would always be required and that one should never “rest on one’s laurels”, but instead I should take every opportunity to improve on my craft. I have been so fortunate to have had several great opportunities to work on sets with some of the greatest actors.” Please list some positive traits about yourself? “I am a spiritual person who likes to fight for the underdog. I believe there is good in everyone. I love animals, mostly birds. I always like to look for solutions and to focus on “thinking outside the box”.” What are your favourite movies, and what do you like most about them? “I love all movies with James Bond. The action and the stunts are just incredible and keep me on the edge of my seat. I enjoy feeling myself wanting to jump into the scenes and support the heroes. I enjoy best Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones filled with so much action, adventure, and suspense.” Who would be your favorite actors and actresses? And who would you prefer to act with? “I’d have to say this is a tough question with so many awesome and talented professionals out there. My favourite actors would 1st C lcasvs be Sean Connery and Harrison Ford, and my favourite actresses would be Angelina Jolie and Rachel Weisz, especially when she played in The Mummy. Both actresses are just spectacular.” What are your hobbies? “Motorcycle riding, boating, and working on my autos.” Any special causes that you have been interested in? “I have been very interested in helping war veterans. I believe the single most selfless act is to serve your country. Any man or woman doing so provides such an important role for our country, and they will always have my utmost respect and admiration.” Dr Judy Rosenblum PhD Life Coach/Psychologist Hypnotist (services are offered worldwide through video chat) 15
