bread and fish in the bible there are many stories surrounding jesus life that have to do with bread and fish jesus referred to himself as the bread which came down from heaven he is our provision and he satisfies our hunger he was also known for the way in which he broke bread and served it to others this was a picture of his life given for us he did miracles where he multiplied both bread and fish into the thousands or where he supplied piles of fish as a proof of his power today jesus is still just as powerful and able to meet our needs and provide fish for our nets this year at street invaders we are expecting that he will meet our daily needs and provide an abundant catch each of our students is so precious to the lord as we take this time to focus on what being a follower of jesus means we believe that he will empower each one to be effective as they open up and share their life and what jesus has done in them we believe that he will also do something through them as they obediently share that good word or bread from heaven and that they will see their own catch of fish that jesus supplies a simple act of faith and generosity from a young boy who shared his lunch of bread and fish became a meal that fed thousands and resulted in leftovers too perhaps you would like to get involved as a leader or student support us through prayer or by sponsoring a student to attend our programs you never know what jesus may accomplish through your simple gift of obedience to him we want to invite anyone who is hungry to join in with our missions ben kostamo this summer by coming out or by helping to cover and associate director of ministries send us through prayer and financial support the youth of our nation are hungry and the lord is preparing us for a great catch ben kostamo associate director of ministries on sunday evening we returned from our first native youth conference held at camp nakamun it was amazing hanging out with hundreds of youth for the short time we had with them we arrived feeling very excited and confident that god had his hand of blessing in it the beautiful weather and beautiful people at the camp created such a feeling of peace friday night we arrived and met up with mc rational and chad and did some free-style dance as part of their show the youth loved them and what they had to say after the main session on the second night more than one hundred kids responded to the message of christ and wanted to accept what he had done for them we were called into another room with the youth to form groups and pray over them and encourage them from our own journeys we were due to perform around 10pm saturday night but got pushed back to half past midnight by an amazing talent show put on by the youth the kids were still pumped to see more dance there was tons and tons of energy and love flowing from them as the team performed as well as tons of phones and cameras recording the event we were fuelled by their energy and excitement the team danced amazingly and jonah one of our newest members and i told a bit of our stories and ended with spoken word the team was blown away from the response of the youth and is excited to see what god is going to do in their lives now we are home and welcoming more new members we have chris and aimee in addition to jonah who will also be joining our team full time god is so good god bless and thank you for your incredible support nora jayne

street invaders 2011 continued from front page though we have changed many parts of the program over the years our vision hasn t changed since we began training students to touch the lives of other students for the kingdom of god they will never be able to say that they can t or haven t told others about jesus because they will have done just that in one street invaders mission the 2011 version will see some changes for the first time street invaders will have a bootcamp in quebec many thanks to pastor verner drost and our friends at smythe street cathedral in fredericton nb who have hosted us there for a number of years we have felt for some time that we would eventually operate out of quebec and this year have decided to move the program from new brunswick to quebec we will be working out of le chemin in gatineau qc and are expecting a great time there are a number of international missions this year as well as the normal programs operating out of bc saskatchewan and now quebec our heart and vision is to see 10 programs across canada with 100 students in each program we believe that those 1,000 students could touch 50,000 lives in canada each summer will you agree with us in prayer to see that happen to accomplish this goal we need prayer warriors people who will support us financially people who will help us with the programs in each of those 10 areas people who will build a bridge between us and potential business people who believe in student evangelism if you are one of those people you can literally change a young person s eternity by helping us change the lives of these students through the work of the holy spirit contact us at street invaders today and partner with us to see the nation changed larry moore aymi executive director motivational media we re really excited about the future of this ministry within aym although we ve had some bumps through the first year the presentations that we were able to do were really successful one of my favourite trips was up to the peace river ab area where we were able to work alongside the salvation army church and reach every student in the town with our presentation on the same trip we connected well with yfc in westlock ab and with one of our acop churches in dapp and were able to see several hundred students in that area only a few days after the fires in slave lake due to the geographical closeness of the fires the challenge of the program to get involved in other people s lives was well received in all those places we would like to extend an invitation to those that are involved in local schools systems to contact us about coming to your area our ultimate vision in this ministry is to be able to come and present in the schools in a particular area and then follow it up by supporting a local church outreach event where students can come and hear the gospel we would love to bring 3 or 4 people to your town to come alongside the church and reach the youth of the community even if you don t have a foot in the door at your school let us know if you re interested in having us come motivational media is the #1 school assembly presenter in north america and our school presentations although without religious content promote healthy lifestyles and christian morals and i believe would be a great opportunity for your students please contact us at the office as soon as possible to book as we expect to have a busy year talk to you soon www.motivationalmedia.ca lindsay@motivationalmedia.ca 1-877-498-0040 lindsay hodges motivational media canada

for all your design needs .com danny delong lifeforce director it s summertime and while its break time for our lifeforce program work carries on at the office we are preparing for three teams this year western canada south africa and england/west africa although summertime is not the most exciting time unless you consider phone calls and paper work to be a thrilling adventure it is a great time to reflect re-think and renovate we re spending time talking and praying through new vision for our programs and new things our heart has always been for evangelism and discipleship but while in the past we ve operated our programs to deal with both now we re focusing on each aspect individually evangelism-wise we want to reach more people in more ways of course we are looking at how we can build practical and impacting relationships between church and community in discipleship we want to better equip people for ministry through long-term networks of relationships and resources we are excited about where god is leading us this summer and in the coming year we re looking forward to new direction new programs and new adventures as we seek to serve him in evangelism and discipleship we want to wish klark relleve all the best as he moves to bc to attend university klark has been an amazing staff member at aymi basically starting and directing aym creative and bringing it to the place it is today his hard work and creativity have brought the quality of our media to a new level and many people have reflected on the new quality of our productions klark it was great having you in the office and as part of our lives we won t soon forget your love for christ and the way you followed him closely as you know you never really leave aymi we will always have the george foreman grill to remind us of you you will always have a part in our heart many blessings as you head to the next step in the call of god on your life thanks klark pray for our ministries join our prayer team by emailing us your address at prayer@aymi.ca summer youth missions ministries international gideons army 300 250 introducing dan cay dan is the new director of aym creative having worked with klark in the past as a contractor it s great to have dan with us and to know that due to his prior involvement with us he already has a heart for what we do and for our ministry please pray for dan as he builds on the work that klark has started 200 150 gideon s army is the fundraising arm for the ministry of aymi as directed by the lord our goal is to find 300 partners who will agree to support on a monthly basis for a minimum of $30.00 a month this can be paid monthly or in a one time donation on an annual basis we encourage you to consider becoming involved with us as a partner and to help us see the work of aymi continue to grow to be a part of gideon s army please fill out the enclosed form and send it to us you can also fax the form email it or call us toll-free with your information we will update the thermometer each time we publish the up newsletter please contact us if you have any questions or you can go to www.gideonsarmy.ca for more information 100 67 50
