We are giving you the list now so that you may take advantage of any “sales” prior to the opening of school in September. We hope this will be of assistance to you. Please send only the supplies requested on the dates they are due. In addition, you can prepare your child for Kindergarten by reading to him or her all summer. We have prepared a list of suggested books that we feel would be enjoyable for your child. Reading is an important part of our school curriculum and it is never too early to enrich your child’s life with books. SECOND GRADE Welcome Back! We hope your summer was enjoyable and we are looking forward to a great school year! To begin the school year properly, the following school supplies are needed:  7 THICK black and white composition notebooks (150-200 pages each). No spiral or looseleaf please. Some of the materials are to be brought to school on Day 1, and the remainder the following four days. This will make it a little easier for your child to carry their supplies. 4th Grade Required Supply List for September 2016 Dear Parents, The list is divided into 2 parts to make the first day of school easier. Some materials are to be brought in on Day 1 and the remainder the second day of school. It is very difficult for students to carry all the required materials in one day. THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADE SCIENCE SUPPLIES Mrs. Hookim’s Science Supply List All students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are required to have a marble (hard cover) notebook - NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS, please. It is also necessary to have 1 folder for science class. Please keep these materials separate from the rest of the school supplies for your child’s regular classroom teacher to avoid confusion with their notebooks and folders.
