understanding what we buy first we must have some knowledge about the items we are planning to purchase the food we buy is broken down into 6 major groups fats oils sweets milk yogurt and cheese meat poultry fish beans and nuts vegetables fruit bread cereal rice and pasta

making a shopping list it is very important to make a shopping list before you go to the store this will help you remember what you need stay organized and not waste any time.

what do we need make sure before you leave to go shopping you have your shopping list and enough money for all of the items you plan to purchase.

now we are ready to go we can either walk with supervision if the store is in our local community or we can go in the car with a parent or guardian.

the customer the customer is the person who goes shopping for the items they desire when they are finished they must go to the register and wait for the cashier to ring up the items the can pay with cash or credit card if the stores accepts them today we will only learn to pay for items with cash

the cashier the cashier is the person responsible for ringing up each item that was purchased calculate the total cost and then accept the payment from the customer.

remember always be respectful and courteous of other shoppers and employees while you are in any store be polite and use manners say please when requesting items and thank you when you receive them also grocery stores can be very crowded so make sure to say excuse me or pardon me when you need to get by in an aisle.
