inter-school cross country congratulations to the four teams that competed in the interschool cross country despite the atrocious weather it was clearly evident that everyone enjoyed the mud bath that confronted all runners there are probably still a few shoes out there somewhere congratulations to the year 5 girls who came home 3 overall congratulations also to thomas taylor-brock who came home 6th in the year 6 boys race our thanks to those who helped out with transport we hope you have been able to clean your vehicles parkland pride karate congratulations to cassius malthus-henman who competed in the kyokushin karate national tournament and came first in the junior 8 ­ 9 year old boys congratulations go to mya eve mason ex pupil paige charlton who gained their karate red belts 9th kyu in the term 2 gradings.

gymnastics congratulations to parkland pupils who entered the manawatu gymn asti cs competition co d y mcnaught was placed 1st in his age group and hannah sutherlandsmith was placed 10th while her team came 2nd senior team parent hub meeting many thanks to senior team parents and students who were able to get to the hub meeting in room 13 on monday night great to have such a good group of enthusiastic parents and students we hope to have all senior team students and parents with their logons by the end of term 2 we need your email address for this to happen so please make sure the office plus your child`s class teacher has this.

production update important information for all parents the excitement is building around the school as we get nearer to our production tickets are available from the regent theatre on broadway for $5.50 per seat nb each person over 12months old will need a seat in order to comply with the regent`s safety policy tickets can also be purchased online at www.ticketdirect.co.nz or from any other ticket direct agency but additional service fees may apply rehearsal day wednesday june 22nd on wednesday the school will be transported to the regent theatre in two groups we will run through each room`s item in the morning and then have a full dress rehearsal in the afternoon children will need to bring enough food and drink for this extended period away from school group 1 will leave for the regent at 9am rooms 11 13 1 7 4 10 group 2 will leave for the regent at 10am rooms 12 2 9 6 5 14 the buses will depart the regent at 2.30pm and return to school on thursday june 23rd parents are asked to have all children at the regent theatre by 6.15pm class meeting places are listed below parents must personally deliver children to the class teacher please after the show children will be released by teachers from the same places children must be personally collected and marked off the class roll no one will be released by teachers to meet parents elsewhere.
