national agreement to build zero tolerance to both alcohol sale to minors and their access to it by means of this agreement executed between entrepreneurs authorities and civil society we hereby commit to eradicate minors´ consumption of alcohol putting the following actions into effect · · · law enforcement actions to discourage alcohol use social monitoring commitments commercial establishments associations chambers of commerce and unions must · abide by the law which forbids both to sell alcohol beverages to minors and to allow them to enter any commercial establishment to drink these · train employees and people in charge of businesses to comply with the law and to prevent alcohol beverages from being sold to minors · not sell alcohol beverages to minors at bars restaurants show centers and stores · not allow minors at bars and discotheques · not to sell medical alcohol bottles to minors at stores convenience stores supermarkets and other commercial establishments · start information campaigns to inform about the prohibition to sell alcohol beverages to minors · promote the program establecimiento modelo to prevent the sale of alcohol beverages to minors civil society must · watch that the parties in this agreement fulfill their commitments · promote informative campaigns minor to minor to inform about the risks to one´s health promoting self esteem responsibility and life projects in order to avoid the use of alcohol beverages · implement evaluation methods and citizen complaint programs · promote public complaints about those commercial establishment that may sell alcohol beverages to minors these may be made at the consejo ciudadano de seguridad pública y procuraduría de justicia del distrito federal at 55335533 where you may inform about corruption acts and provide evidence such as photographs or videos and these will be sent to the corresponding authorities for investigation you may also call conadic 01800911 2000 · publish a monthly report of complaints of commercial establishments that may sell alcohol beverages to minors and the outcome of the visit program cliente oculto · commercial establishment may be evaluated by means of the program client oculto parentteacher associations must · promote healthy and safe environments at gatherings or parties given by their children and families minors must be prevented from drinking alcohol beverages · build better communications channels with their children to talk about the risks of alcohol use · be responsible and make sure that their children do not attend places for adults · support the initiatives authorities and civil associations may enforce to promote a healthy life free of excesses and with zero tolerance to alcohol sale to minors and their access to it · promote citizen complaints of those commercial establishments that may sell alcohol to minors at the consejo ciudadano de seguridad pública y procuración de justicia del distrito federal tel 5533 553 and at conadic 018009112000 · promote and support school preventive campaigns about the consequences of alcohol abuse in minors by means of the taller flammable cero tolerancia en el consumo de alcohol en menores presented by nemi and convivencia sin violencia · promote recreational sports and cultural activities for their children · attend nueva vida centers to receive advice and support about the consequences of alcohol use in minors wine companies beer companies and distributors of alcohol beverages must · carry out information campaigns to advise about the physical and psychological risks of alcohol use in minors · provide economical resources to support prevention campaigns to inform about alcohol use in minors · provide information to students in both public and private schools about the consequences of alcohol use by means of the taller flamable cero tolerancia en el consumo de alcohol en menores · promote selfcaring in adolescents by means of the talleres interactivos para la promoción de la salud tipps given by fisac convivencia sin violencia must · promote in social networks and in its webpage www.convivenciasinviolencia.org.mx complaints of commercial establishments that may sell alcohol beverages to minors or may allow them to drink such beverages in their businesses · reveal and update the information about citizen complaints at the csv webpage and in social networks · publish periodical bulletins to follow up the fulfillment of the citizen complaint program and its progress · monitor the program cliente oculto · provide public and private school students with information about the consequences of alcohol use in minors through the taller flamable cero tolerancia en el consumo de alcohol en menores · to promote campaigns about the risks and consequences of alcohol use.

authorities must · instituto de verificación administrativa supervise appropriate operations of commercial establishments authorities must make trimestrial reports on establishments where alcohol may be sold to minors and about the supervision visits that may have been held due to this problem and this must be published in the website of convivencia sin violencia supervise the security and operation measures of those establishments that sell alcohol to minors and must apply the corresponding administrative sanctions to those establishments that may sell alcohol to minors · civil defence must supervise that all security measures established by law are followed and apply with no exceptions administrative sanctions in case of failure to comply the latter · secretaría de seguridad pública del distrito federal report the number of minors arrested for driving drunk during the application of alcohol tests within the program conduce sin alcohol this report must be published in the webpage of convivencia sin violencia must follow up on citizen reports about illegal places where alcohol may be sold to minors and must arrest people who may be fighting and take them to the corresponding judge to be penalized · procuraduría general de justicia del distrito federal y del estado de méxico apply the corresponding law to penalize those commercial establishments that may sell alcohol to minors · comisión nacional de derechos humanos must supervise that authorities enforce the law to avoid alcohol use in minors and if necessary issue the corresponding recommendations to those that may be failing to comply with the latter · instituto mexicano de la juventud carry out actions to improve young people´s levels of life and their social and cultural expectations as well in order to provide them with alternatives that will take them away from alcohol use instruct young people at schools about the injurious effects of alcohol and about the importance of alcoholuse self control promote young people´s right to healthy entertainment follow up · a committee will be formed with representatives of participating organizations and institutions and it will follow up on these actions to comply with the zero tolerance agreement o such committee shall meet every three months and must present a written report of the outcome and agreements o this report will be delivered to the corresponding authorities in order to demand the application of sanctions to those who may not comply with the law o the trimestrial report will be informed to society and media by means of press conferences and/or bulletins this will be informed in the website and social networks of convivencia sin violencia.
