t2 wk 1 5 may 2011 together we learn together we grow from debbie hi everyone it is good to be back at school after the holiday break and as usual we have got off to a good start with the children in good spirits and the teachers refreshed sandy is busy getting the final details organized for camp thank-you to the parents who have seen me or have already paid if you haven t paid your camp costs they are now very overdue this is difficult for us in that we cannot go ahead with camp unless we are sure of payment i feel we have given fair and reasonable time for people to make this payment so please this needs your attention immediately i have given up my space this week for the student council who are keen to get something up and running in the playground read on from the student council one of the things that we would like to introduce this term is a wheels day we want to do this so children will have some new things to do with other children during lunchtime and playtime we have talked about this with whaea and we thought it would be a good idea to have a wheels day every wednesday in the past we have used wheels day as a fundraiser but we are not looking to fundraise we are looking to add some new things into our playground so there will be no cost involved we have chosen a wednesday because it will give the little kids a chance enjoy their wheels while the big kids are away at technology if you intend to bring some wheels to school you also need to bring a helmet and your own protective gear skateboards inline skates bikes scooters roller skates rip-sticks are all legal on the day we have set aside some areas for the wheels to roll these will be marked out on the day we hope to see you with your wheels next wednesday.
