Dear Friends: The Scripture above The Voice in the Wilderness Pulpit says, “Go ye into all the world….” That is Mark’s record and our Lord’s commission for each of us to take the gospel to a lost world. Now, “as we go you go also.” Your partnership and prayers enable us to help pastors in Venezuela, preach a revival in Maryland and stand in prayer with Congressional members on Capitol Hill. As we do so, you are there with us. Your support is going, your prayers are going, and you are going with us as we reach, preach, and teach God’s Truth wherever He gives opportunity. During this year long Centennial Celebration of the life, voice, and influence of Dr. J. Royce Thomason, we are thankful for your friendship over the years. In March, we gathered with hundreds of pastors and families, representing all 50 states, in Washington D.C. to meet and pray with congressional leaders. The testimonies, prayer times, and witness was powerful. Pray for America! Pastor Creed: There is a void here [D.C.] and you can better believe someone will fill it! Hundreds packed a conference room to hear testimonies from congressional leaders Pastors’ testify of State House witness... ...He introduced himself to a representative as a local pastor who was there to pray with representatives. The leader began questioning him very intensely. Finally, the official laid his hands on the desk and said that it was about time a “real pastor showed up.” He explained that he could work better with “those across the aisle than he could with that seeker-sensitive bunch.” ...Senator Mike Morrel – 23rd district of San Bernadino, CA had 1 month prior to San Bernadino, begun praying that God would get a hold of his district. Then the shooting happened. His people saw Obama try to turn the shooting into something political, but they stood firm until Obama called it what it was – an act of terrorism. He has seen God working in the hearts of people in San Bernadino. Chad Connelly Chad Connelly, Faith Advisor for RNC, reminded those listening that in the last election, out of 82 million “Christians,” only 30 million voted, with 6 million of those admittedly voting for someone who was in opposition to Christian values. Connelly cited a Barna poll that said they gave pastors a list of 33 dayto-day issues. The pastors were asked if they believed the Bible was timeless. 90% said yes, but only 10% had preached on at least one of those topics in the past year. “The people sitting beside me in Sunday School are voting these people (the wrong candidates) into office.”

Rep. Louie Gohmert – TX “Yes, God is in control, but that doesn’t mean he wants us to lean on our shovel and pray for a hole.” Rep. Jeff Duncan – SC He testified of praying before a vote on the debt ceiling. He shared about going into the Capitol prayer Rep. Franks chapel to pray about his vote. Other officials followed. They took the Bible in the chapel and it fell open to Prov. 22:7 - “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” God’s wisdom was clear on how to vote. Congressman Trent Franks – AZ He is co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Caucas and vigorously works against abortion, for adoption, and for life at any stage. “We are either going to elect the right people or beg the wrong people to do right.” Rep. Joe Pitts – PA Rep. Pitts He quoted I Tim.2:1-2 (I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.) “America is under attack from forces of cultural degredation. America is worth saving...think of the good...Armed Forces around the world, missionaries around the world... Every elected official must make a decision on life. If a person doesn’t want to defend life at every stage then they should be removed from office...Remember, you are not a bigot if you live on biblical principles.” Senator Chuck Praying for Senator Grassley Grassley - IA He is the Chairman of Senate Judiciary Committee. He has pledged to wait until after the elections to hear any Supreme Court nominee. Rep. Gohmert

IRS ordered to release “secret list” - Congressman Jim Bridenstine reported that a federal appeals court ordered the IRS to release a “secret list” of nonprofit groups it had targeted for extra scrutiny. The judge rejected the IRS argument that the tax code prevented it from releasing the list. The IRS if there was any question definitely can not be trusted. He was a deceiver from the start! - It’s apparent from the beginning that Obama had a perverted view of the Bible. One of the favorite tactics of biblical critics is to question a passage written in a different dispensation - a different time in history to a different group of people and for a different purpose. In NEWS BITS FROM HERE AND THERE other words, it is to pull a passage from the historic, biblical context in which it should be understood, superimpose it into a context for which it was not meant, and then point out that even Christians do not follow that teaching For example, Dr. Paul Chappell sites in a 2006 speech, then-Senator Barack Obama said, “Whatever we once were, we are no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.” Besides using “a Christian nation” in a historically inaccuarate context (even as a self-proclaimed Christian nation, the United States of America has always included and protected the freedom “One of the most important documents a man ever signs is his Will. I can tell better what a man had in his heart by reading his Will than I can by reading his obituary. His obituary tells the world what his friends thought of him; his Will reveals what he had in his heart.” - A. M. Vollmer For as (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he- Proverbs 23:7. Out of (the heart) are the issues of life - Proverbs 4:23. How about Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith?
