Information is power and those who have access to it are powerful. This ancient adage is extremely topical in modern times. Mankind has started a new phase of development referred to as the information society. Thanks to modern means of communication, borders between countries disappear and the best ideas, coming from the minds of creative people from different countries, cultures and continents, can become the property of all mankind. Thanks to projects and programmes of international cooperation and the intellectual elite, businessmen and scientists can collectively accept the challenge of our times: the elimination of the consequences of technological catastrophes, overcoming the problems of hunger and poor quality of life in developing countries, fighting fatal diseases, improving equipment all contribute to the development of science and culture. Nowadays, the collaboration of national elites and progressive thinking citizens is extremely important for peace initiatives, social progress and the wellbeing of every inhabitant on the planet. The Editorial Board of the Socrates Almanac works with the Europe Business Assembly – an international organization working towards building the bridge between business and education worldwide. EBA conferences include a multitude of wonderful people, who represent science, education, medicine and business as well as the creative circles of their countries. They happily share their ideas and best practice in their professional fields. These ideas are supported by investment funds, private investors and have the potential to become specific business projects. The Editorial Board of the Socrates Almanac - the official publication of the EBA – have decided to create a platform, not only for its main audience – scientists and researchers – but also for authors of innovations, inventions and technologies; thus arose the project Almanac "Innovative jump into the future", which we present to our readers today.

Thanks to close cooperation with the best thinkers from different countries and public associations, we have initiated new long-term projects; primarily the Oxford Academic Union and The Prime Business Destination. At the same time our time tested ongoing programmes: the organization of international forums and conferences; publishing projects; international ratings and professional competitions; and honoring the leaders of Modern Age, are still going strong. For the last six months many of you have been taking part in the representative summits of the Europe Business Assembly in Oxford, Vienna and London, as well as in many regional forums, business meetings and conferences, which are all held under the auspices of our organization. In all our endeavors, we have always felt your support and, in turn, tried to do everything possible to improve the success of your business by bringing it to the attention of interesting investors and partners. Together, we promote the efforts of scientists, doctors, industrialists and entrepreneur from around the world in order to solve global problems of humanity by participating in charitable and social programs. How do the projects and programs of the Europe Business Assembly The Europe Business Assembly is an internationally recognized research and analytical center. PR-projects and programmes of international cooperation in various spheres of human activity are its main focus. The center was founded in 1999 in Oxford (UK). The Founders include university scientists and the heads of commercial structures and public organizations of Great Britain working in collaboration with colleagues from 37 countries. Nowadays, EBA is an international corporation, which works closely with many other influential organizations such as the Luxembourg Institute of European and International Studies, The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (United Kingdom), the Institute of Quality Standards (Switzerland), the European Medical Association (Belgium) and many more. EBA’s mission is to build a world of successful people, and it means to create the most comfortable environment for international partnerships in order to solve global problems and responses to the challenges of time. The effectiveness and potential of basic spheres of EBA activity are truly endless! 10 Socrates Almanac "Prime Business Destinations – 2015"

How do the projects and programs of the Europe Business Assembly Summit of Leaders is a permanent interactive platform for international cooperation The Oxford Summit of Leaders was formed by EBA in order to unite leaders of different countries and promote the mutual exchange of progressive ideas and programmes through the formation of a community of like-minded people. The summits began in 2000. During this time they were attended by over 8500 delegates from 56 countries; presented here were hundreds of innovative projects, specialized workshops in innovation and research of rectors of higher education institutions. Summits are traditionally supported by the Lord Mayor of Oxford (Brian Keane, Robert John Price, Jim Campbell, Alice Benjamin); MEPs (Derek Clark, Barbara Kudrycka, Catherine Berder) as well as the heads of diplomatic departments of multiple countries. Despite the political cataclysms and economic problems that are shaking the world today, The Summits of Leaders will always be an annual event, gathering a large audience and featuring the most prominent social debate. In December 2016, representatives of science, industry and business will gather in Oxford for the 32nd time. The Summit programme includes: · The Open Science Conference "Innovative aspects of the development of the University town": the discussion of academic, scientific and investment projects; · Open discussion on the issues of interaction between universities and their cities with many mayors of university cities in Europe; · Working Session of innovative companies with the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce; · Welcome of new members to the Academic Union (AU) and the Club of the Rectors of Europe (CRE); · Presentation of results and certificates to participants in professional contests: "Science and Education", "Stars of Medical Tourism" and “EBA Quality Standard”; · Presentation of the Socrates Almanac 2015; · Socrates ceremony and more. Since November the summit has registered more than 100 participants, representing 41 countries. Socrates Almanac "Prime Business Destinations – 2015" 11
