Different uses of organic, conventional carrier vegetable oils Every one of the oils is for both internal and external use. It is only up to you which of them you choose to help you with your problems. The effects of the oils are included in the descriptions of the individual oils. Internal use The dosage of the plant oils is much alike. Usually, one teaspoon 1 to 3 times a day is recommended. Most of our essential oils are food grade, which means that they are edible and can be taken internally. Oils that are not food grade, mostly cosmetic oils, will have the statement „For external use only!“ in description and on the label. External use Massage or rubbing into the skin – rub a small amount of the oil into the skin on your body, face and also hair. You can dilute thicker oils with thinner ones. The oils do not leave a greasy feeling and are well-absorbed by the skin. Hair treatment Rub a small amount of the oil into the scalp and then into the hair, cover your head with a towel and leave the oil mask on for at least 20 minutes. For skin, hair and nails Besides the internal use, plant oils may also be a part of regular care for your skin – when rubbed into the skin and massaged, the properly selected oil helps to regenerate the skin, keeps it elastic and renews the natural fatty filter. Some oils particularly improve the condition in the people suffering from skin diseases, such as acne, eczema or psoriasis, as well as when the skin has been harmed by sun. They are easily absorbed and provide the soft skin of your baby with natural protection. Oils and their classification: Mineral oils Mineral oils are obtained from petroleum, they contain zero valuable substances, they are almost non-absorbable and thus remain on the surface of the skin, they clog up pores and the skin feels greasy after the use and they are not active. Refined oils Raw materials are processed at high temperatures around 90°C; the oils are absorbed only slowly, their primary use is in the food industry, they contain only small amount of vitamins and minerals, the content of bio-active substances is low due to the high temperatures during the extraction process. Cold pressed (raw) oils Cold pressed oils are obtained solely by mechanical pressing at the maximum temperature of 37°C, they are easily absorbed, they do not leave the greasy feeling, they are ideal carriers of etheric oils (used in aromatherapy), they are bio-active and their composition is close to the natural lipids contained in the human body.

These particular hormones convert cholesterol into an important sterol – progesterone. Progesterone slows down aging signs. Coconut oil consists of fatty acids – lauric acid, caprinic acid, caprylic acid and myristic acid. All these acids counteract viruses, microbes, fungi and yeast. Lauric acid has the strongest antiviral effect; caprylic acid is highly effective against yeasts. MCFA (medium-chain fatty acids) have a specific ability to disturb the membranes of viruses, bacteria, yeast and mould. These pathogens can then be easily destroyed by white blood cells. Coconut oil and obesity: taking coconut oil allows you to last longer without feeling hungry. It eliminates the sudden drift of sugar into blood and its consequent fast decline, in contrast to what happens when consuming starch, carbohydrates and bigger amounts of fruit. This fluctuation overburdens the adrenal glands. The consummation of coconut oil stabilises the level of sugar in blood and lowers the burden on the adrenal glands. Skin care: you will come to like pure coconut oil as body lotion or skin oil. It is easily spread and absorbed, smells very nice and has a beneficial effect on the skin. It is extremely suitable for dry and damaged skin. Haire care: Coconut oil helps in healthy growth of hair and gives your hair a shiny quality. It is also highly effective in reducing protein loss, which can lead to various unattractive or unhealthy qualities in your hair. By regularly massaging your head with coconut oil, you can ensure that your scalp is free of dandruff, even if your scalp is chronically dry. It also helps in keeping your hair and scalp free from lice and lice eggs. Cranberry seed oil (Vaccinium macrocarpon) The oil contains loads of various nutrients – organic acids, vitamins (mainly C, E and K), pro-vitamins A and tannins. It is a great antioxidant. It contains citric acid, malic acid, vitamin Bx and oxalic acid; from mineral substances it is mainly potassium, then magnesium, calcium, phosphor and sodium. Flavonoids which are heavily represented in this oil have several amazing properties – they reduce the creation of blood clots, lower high blood pressure, improve blood flow, slow down the progress of arteriosclerosis and prevent arteries from clogging. If you suffer from the inflammation of the urinary tract or if these are repeated, reach for cranberries. You can choose the oil, juice, tea, marmalade or dried fruits. Cranberries are the number one in the natural pharmacy. At the beginning of 20th century scientists found out that cranberries contain acids which do not oxidize in the body. If they settle in the urinary tract, they can cover the surface of some organs and create something like a protective shield. This mechanism does not allow the E-coli bacteria or other infections to attach to the walls of the bladder, reproduce and spread into the surrounding tissues and structures.
