Dear Friends, The revival in Maryland was the introduction to our Centennial Celebration. Dr. J. Royce Thomason had some dear friends in the Black Rock Church area. We had a wonderful time reminiscing with some of those precious folk. Pray with us as we set forth the challenge by Bro. Royce to let our Voice, influence and life count for Christ. 2016 marks Bro. Royce’s 100th anniversary of life and influence. Pray that new partners and subscribers would join the ranks to help us continue this great ministry even 10 years after his homegoing. The opportunities are endless but time is not. Thank you for being a part of The Voice in the Wilderness. Available on: www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org For Christ and souls, Ronnie L. Take a Moment... ...and travel with us. 2,977 people died in New York City, Washington D.C., and outside of Shanksville, PA as a result of the vile attack by 19 terrorist hijackers. The Memorial and Museum has a tile mosaic representing the individuals who died on that terrible day. Each tile is a different shade of blue representing the individual lives that were lost. Each person has an eternal soul and we should be reminded daily that life is fragile, at best. Satan seeks to destroy just as those wicked hijackers intended evil on 9/11. I’ve wondered many times how many souls in those burning towers realizing death was imminent may have called out to God for forgiveness and New York 4•The Voice in the Wilderness - October 2015 Virtual Edition

salvation. The Memorial only tells the side of the story as viewed from this mortal experience. However, one day in eternity, we may, yes we will, understand fully what happened in the lives of those trapped in the two burning towers. Time continues and more souls face the appointment just as others have. It is our responsibility to share the gospel while there is time. Not only was our nation and world changed Underneath this concrete "Stairway of Survivors" many by events sought shelter from the on 9/11, falling debris. but The Voice in the Wilderness ministries were changed as well. While in the northeast, my wife and I had the privilege in October 2015 to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We were reminded of the horrific events of that day that affected so many lives and the nation. For more resources, visit www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org •5

Some may not be aware of the fact that along with the events of September 11, 2001, The Voice in the Wilderness experienced a personal crisis. Our nation came under attack by evil enemies of this free country, and the founder of The Voice in the Wilderness ministry was smitten by a life threatening stroke while preaching in Dayton, Ohio. All planes in the United States were grounded and it was impossible to get Bro. Royce home for medical treatment. It took a number of days to get Bro. Royce back to Dallas, Texas for medical attention. As we drove across country, buildings and vehicles everywhere were adorned with the red, white and blue. Sadly, it didn’t take long for America to resume its routine. As a matter of fact, I would have never dreamed in a few short years this country would elect for two terms Barack Hussein Obama. In God’s longsuffering will the United States refuse His grace and choose a far worse judgment than September 11, 2001? 6•The Voice in the Wilderness - October 2015 Virtual Edition

Maine After preaching a revival in Maryland and visiting the 9/11 Memorial we headed up to Maine for a brief visit with Missionary Brooks Suttle and his family. It was a joy to preach in their missions work and have a time of fellowship with him. Pray for this new work and many souls to come to Christ. There are some challenging areas in the United States that need a strong Bible preaching church. Certainly the New England area presents in many ways, a difficult, yet promising opportunity for church planters. We will try to keep you informed about the progress of this infant missionary church. Vermont Setting up for services in Maine. From Maine we journeyed on to Vermont and shared The Voice in the Wilderness ministries with the church family at Calvary Baptist. We had time to fellowship in the home of Pastor and Mrs. Gangwer as well as opportunity to see many brothers and sisters that we have known for years. Again, the state of Vermont has been a challenging mission field but we thank the Lord for pastors and their families who have faithfully served in the Green Mountain State. There are now a number of strong, Bible-preaching churches in Vermont. Sis. Terry enjoying a Vermont Apple Donut.
