how photoshop can cause health problems for young girls photoshop is generally overused in the media 99.9 of pictures in magazines have been altered in some way unfortunately most of the young girls and women reading the magazines don t know the photos have been retouched and if they do know it doesn t register this can cause the image of perfection in young girls minds to be distorted often women and girls will think that they need to look like the pictures in the magazines without realizing the photos aren t real in order to attain the perfect look they may develop an eating disorder the above and below photos were taken from a dove beauty commercial to show how much images can be changed these pictures are of the same woman she is beautiful on her own yet even after she had her hair and make-up done,

how celebrities overuse photoshop many celebrities hire pro-photoshoppers to touch-up every photo taken of them before they can be released to the media many publicists advise their celebrity to have all photos re-touched to keep their public image looking good unfortunately many people come to believe that if a celebrity can always look perfect they can too so they develop eating disorders and think of other ways to make themselves look like the celebrities our image of beauty had become so distorted that our general image of beauty is fake essentially the media deceives us making us think that people naturally look that perfect in a way the media lies to us by making us think that natural beauty is not natural its photoshopped i personally don t think its right that the media deceives us that much i think photoshop should be used in moderation and people should be made more aware of how often it is used in our society.

other uses for photoshop there are many other uses for photoshop besides fixing flaws on pictures it can also be used to change the color tones of photos or add effects such as mirror image or puzzle photoshop can also be used to create pictures that look real but can t possibly be real other uses include adding backgrounds and foregrounds to photos to enhance their effect.
