Scar Tissue Release What many people don’t realize is the physiological impact that scars can have on their bodies — whether it is a minor scar earned by falling off a tricycle at age four, a high-school football injury, or a C-section scar sustained during the birth of a child. While not every scar presents a problem, many do. If your body does not breakdown scar tissue completely, it will often spread — triggering your body to compensate. Any kink, pull or restriction in one area can affect everything else. If your movements are restricted, your muscles will be forced to work harder. If your nerves are trapped, your circulation can be restricted — and so on. The reason for this is because you’re essentially held together by one huge single sheet of connective tissue, or fascia. This fascia wraps around your entire body like an intricate spider web and influences the way you function — from your muscles and your bones, to your organs, nerves, veins and arteries. The Scar Tissue Release and Integrated Therapies method —STRAIT™, for short — is a three-dimensional, fascial-release system that works to minimize scar-tissue development and the subsequent physiological restrictions. Adhered tissues are released and then realigned from their starting point, which is the visible scar, to their end point — where the line of frozen fascia stops. No matter how new or old your scar, Scar Tissue Release Therapy can help. Even decades-old scars can be released. This can be a stand alone service but it is discounted when added to any other massage session.

Cupping Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine using negative pressure in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. By creating suction and vacuum pressure, massage cupping is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, move deep inflammation to the skin surface for release, and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways. Cupping therapy is incredibly versatile and the basic movements can easily be customized to accomplish a wide variety of techniques, from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue release. It is important to note, that massage cupping MAY leave marks for a few days, these are not bruises. Bruising is caused by impact trauma with the breakage of capillaries and a reactionary rush of fluids to the damaged location from the tissue injury. There is no compression in correctly performed Cupping. When circulation is sluggish or compromised in an injured or diseased area of the body, insufficient oxygen gets to the cells. This results in a local build-up of waste products such as dead, static blood, lymph, cellular debris, and toxins. Cupping can leave marks, which indicates that the stagnation or disease has been moved from the deeper tissue layers to the surface, allowing fresh oxygenated blood to nourish and heal the underlying areas. Any suction device left long enough in one place will loosen and pull these agents out & up to the skin surface.

Infrared Sauna Numerous health benefits have been linked to infrared sauna use. Canadian Family Physician website reports that there is a fair amount of evidence associating infrared sauna use to improvements in congestive heart failure and blood pressure. Furthermore, the journal explains that some evidence exists that infrared saunas may help to ease chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain. A study reported in the journal Clinical Rheumatology explained that the use of infrared saunas helped to decrease pain and stiffness for patients with rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Dr. Oz also reports that infrared saunas can cause the body to sweat out toxins, burn calories and increase blood circulation.

Passive Stretching Passive stretching is a form of static stretching in which the therapist exerts external force upon the limb to move it into the new position. This is in contrast to active stretching, where the client does the work themselves. In passive stretching resistance is normally achieved through the force of gravity on the limb or on the body weighing down on it, never by forcing it into a new position. Static stretching means a stretch is held in a challenging but comfortable position for a period of time, usually somewhere between 10 to 30 seconds. Static stretching is the most common form of stretching found in general fitness and is considered safe and effective for improving overall flexibility.

Raindrop Therapy This service includes Raindrop Technique, VitaFlex & Massage. Using "raindrops" of pure essential oils to rid the body of toxins and assist the body to a stronger immune system. This bodywork is for anyone who desires "optimal wellness" and is excellent defense for the cold and flu season. This technique is contraindicated for individuals with skin sensitivities. This is powerful, non-invasive tool for assisting the body into structural and electrical alignment. Raindrop Technique uses a sequence of essential oils that are immune enhancing, support the body's natural defenses, as well as the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, nervous, and other body systems. These oils, which are high in antioxidants, are also mood elevating and antiseptic, creating an unfavorable environment for harmful viruses and bacteria that can hibernate in the body. Essential oils are known to boost stamina and energy, help you relax, help manage stress and frustration and promote overall health, vitality, and longevity.

Castor Oil Pack When used properly, castor oil packs improve the function of your thymus gland and other components of your immune system by significantly increasing lymphocyte production. Lymphocytes are your immune system's disease-fighting cells and are produced and stored mainly in your lymphatic tissue (thymus gland, spleen, and lymph nodes). Hundreds of miles of lymphatic tubules allow waste to be collected from your tissues and transported to your blood for elimination, a process referred to as lymphatic drainage. When your lymphatic system is not working properly, waste and toxins can build up and make you sick. Lymphatic congestion is a major factor leading to inflammation and disease. This is where castor oil comes in. When castor oil is absorbed through your skin, your lymphocyte count increases. Increased lymphocytes speed up the removal of toxins from your tissues, which promotes healing. Castor oil "packs" can be an efficient method of infusing the ricinoleic acid and other healing components of castor oil directly into your tissues.

Ear Seeds Ear seeds are small seeds from the Vaccaria plant (a member of the carnation family) that are held in place on the ear with a piece of adhesive tape on top of ear acupuncture points. These acupuncture points may be stimulated for a longer period of time by using ear seeds. Ear seeds may be left in the ear for a few days or up to two weeks. They are activated by pressing and massaging gently into the acupressure point as needed. Also available in 24K Gold/Swarovski Crystal sets as a more stylish upgrade. Ear seed kits available for purchase, or application can be added to any massage session using simple ear seeds or Swarovski.
