MADE IN ICELAND JS Watch Company Reykjavik is a small Icelandic watch manufacturer whose exceptional timepieces promise to put the country on the map for something other than hot springs, Bjork and disruptive volcanoes. Icelandic Ingenuity The collaboration of a watchmaker, collector and designer has produced the JS Watch co. Reykjavik, one of the world’s smallest manufacturers of stylish, quality watches. Is JS Watch co. Reykjavik, from the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, one of the watch industries best kept secret? All the watches are designed and assembled by hand in Iceland. Only highest quality movements and materials from Germany and Swiss are used to produce the watches and every single detail has been given the time needed for perfection. The quantity of watches produced is limited, giving them an exclusive and truly personal feel. Currently the watches are being worn on many celebrity wrists such as Viggo Mortensen, Quentin Tarantino, Yoko Ono and his holiness 14th Dalai Lama to name just a few.

HK Golfer Mailbag David Tsang says that if more young golfers were to follow the way Jordan Spieth handles himself on and off the course, golf will be better for it 14 Majors is Tiger’s Lot He looked good for a long time during the Masters, but Tiger Woods’ days of winning Majors must surely now be behind him. I have been a fan of his since he first burst onto the scene in 1997, and it was great to see him bounce back in rounds two and three at Augusta, but that final-round, where he shot 73 after missing almost every fairway, followed by that comical interview afterwards when he said “the bone popped out” after he struck a shot from a tree root on the ninth hole, tells me his race has run. He isn’t comfortable with his swing, his body seems to be constantly on the verge of breaking down but more worryingly than anything: just when it looks like he’s getting himself into contention, his game completely deserts him and he starts claiming that he’s performed minor ort hopaedic surger y on himself. Fourteen Major championships is an incredible haul. But 14 Major championships is going to be as good as it gets. Andy Gordon Shanghai Jordan Spieth, Role Model I’m the father of a junior golfer and let me say now how delighted I am that Jordan Spieth won the Masters Tournament. Like many, I love seeing a close finish to a Major but this time was different: I wanted him to win going away from the field. The reason? Spieth exudes class and is a breath of fresh air for the professional game. He really has become the ideal role model for young golfers the world over: he is humble, he speaks eloquently, he doesn’t let whatever frustrations he may have on the golf course get the better of him – and just as importantly, he plays quickly. Rory McIlroy held the junior golfer role model mantle for a long time – and McIlroy is still a very likeable character, despite the recent club-throwing incident he was involved in – but for me, Spieth has set the bar even higher. If young golfers were to follow his lead by his on and offcourse actions, the future of the game of golf will be better for it. David Tsang Tai Po We Want to Hear from You! The six-time Major champion plans to make a farewell on the famous Swilcan Bridge after a long and hugely successful career which saw him become Champion Golfer of the Year at St Andrews in 1990 and at Muirfield in 1987 and 1992. He also achieved ten top ten finishes in The Open between 1978 and 2003. Faldo has also tasted victory in Hong Kong. In 1990 he won the first Johnnie Walker Classic to be staged in Asia, at the Hong Kong Golf Club. The Englishman, who will celebrate his 58th birthday during The Open, will join five-time Open Champion Tom Watson in making a final appearance in the Championship in July. Faldo said: “The Open and St Andrews will forever hold a significant place in my heart.  My fondest moments on my journey with this great sport are woven with pictures and emotions in this setting. It all means a huge amount to me. “I look forward to celebrating all that golf has given me as I cross that storied bridge and the wonderful memories I share with many people. I am grateful for it all and grateful to golf." Faldo will be among a cast of golf ’s greatest players who will take part in the Champion Golfers’ Challenge on Wednesday 15 July ahead of The Open. He will join five-time champions Peter Thomson, who is celebrating the 60th anniversary of his triumph at St Andrews in 1955, and Watson, on the 40th anniversary of his win in his debut appearance at Carnoustie in 1975.
