Prophetess Choice Nwachuku Ph.D Welcome to INSPIRATION magazine, an online publication of God’s Battle Axe Ministries. Inspiration has within the riches of its pages a wealth of information in different sections called corners that is set to minister to your body, soul and spirit. It has the marriage, leadership, praise and worship, youth, children, and women’s corners. Each corner focuses on the subject matter, except Odette’s corner which is not focused on a particular subject. Although the goal of Inspiration is to minister to your body, soul and spirit, we want to emphasize that of these three, the ministration to the spirit man is more important, because when the spirit man is ministered to from God’s word; it enables the soul and body to function right and thus prosper In Inspiration, various interesting and useful information will be featured as the Lord leads us to write. It is important to note that whatever subject matter featured in Inspiration is not given to replace, criticize or condemn any medical, financial or any other ad- vice received from your professional personnel. The purpose of Inspiration is to provide a different avenue of perspectives to the information already received, or will be received from a professional in that subject matter in order to inspire you to try another method of approach to that situation if applicable. We encourage you to follow us on Inspiration and broaden your perspective on different issues as we bring them to you within the comforts of your home, office or even in the field. ReMIND Yourself! everal weeks ago, my family and I had to travel to Miami for my brother Eddie’s graduation. As we lined up at our gate to present our boarding pass to the agent to enter the plane, there was a tall, elderly man standing at the counter speaking to another agent. From a distance, you could tell this man spelled TROUBLE! No one needed to tell us he was angry… the wild hand gestures, elevated voice and mean scowl on his face showed it! We thought nothing of it because after all, we were on our way to the sunshine state! However, when pur- S chasing our tickets we did not opt for assigned seating and therefore we were randomly seated. I was in the middle of the plane with Eddie and our cousin, Mike seated a few rows behind me while my youngest brother, Kelly was seated all the way in the front. Guess who was the very last person to enter the plane? The tall angry man we saw at the counter! He brushed past the other seated passengers and shoved his carry -on luggage into the over-head compartment knocking over other people’s luggage. He angrily marched back to the front of the plane. The passenger beside me shook his head in disbelief and said “What is HIS

Youth Corner problem?” I chuckled because he said out loud what I was thinking. With all of the commotion of rushing to make the flight on time, I fell asleep shortly after and did not wake up until we landed. When we got off of the plane, Eddie, Mike and I were chattering with excitement but for some reason, Kelly was beyond annoyed. Guess who was seated beside him on the flight? You guessed it – the tall angry man!! But what made it so funny is what Kelly said to us: “When we saw him in line, I kept saying to myself, I hope this guy isn’t on our flight. Then when he got on the plane, I thought to myself Oh God, I hope I don’t have to sit beside this guy. I just know they are going to put this guy beside me. ” Unfortunately, it was as if the man read Kelly’s mind – not only did he make the flight, he sat right beside him too! Apparently, the man made Kelly’s flight miserable; he complained from the moment the flight took off until the plane landed in Miami! Pastor Kathleen Ibeh Kelly and the angry man on the flight, my brother preoccupied his mind with negative thoughts of this man sitting beside him on the flight so much that it actually happened. nize it, his “worst nightmare” became reality. Thank God, God restored him again. But the pain he went through could have been avoided I believe. Reader, let’s be real: what do you struggle with? What has been spoken into your life that you just can’t shake from your mind? Maybe someone important to you has told you (or you think) that you are worthless as a result of being poor or homeless, a drug addict or living a wayward lifestyle in your past. Do you think you are a failure and will never amount to anything? Do you give up easily or just stop trying altogether because you never succeed in anything you do? Is your mind clouded with so many negative thoughts that you worry yourself into negative situations? STOP IT!!! These lies from the enemy have been hindering you from living the life and fulfilling the purpose God has created you for! Believe it or not, you are attracting the very problems, obstacles & fears you are trying to avoid. If you want to see a change in your life, start changing those thoughts/the way you think. Romans 12: 2 states that we should be “transformed by the renewing of our MINDS,” so as from this very moment, start thinking positively! Constantly reMIND yourself that God did NOT give you the spirit of fear (hopelessness, faithlessness, failure, or worthlessness) but power, love and a SOUND MIND. Most importantly, always reMIND yourself and confess that you are the son (or daughter) of the most High God, of which you can do any and ALL things though Christ who strengthens you! MARRIAGE CORNER WILL YOU MA Part Hi everyone, I trust that you all have had a great time from the last time we communicated via this page. Hmmm, I believe that many of you would have digested our part 1 of this topic (in case you did not read it before if you are a new reader, or you just missed the last edition, the main point made was that we marry purpose). Yes purpose. I can just imagine some of you after reading the last edition saying: “So we should not care if the girl/woman or man has anything else, as long as we know that it is about purpose”. Or some others might ask: “So we should not, and God does not care if the person we are to marry is good looking or not?” The answer to these questions is that you should care and God cares, after all it is implied in the book of I Timothy 5:8 that if a man does not have a job/work, he should not marry. “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of

George Nwachuku M.BA. supporting his family. There you have it, God does care about what we care for. And any child of God has a right to want to marry a person of his or her dreams (whatever that might mean to you). For some women, a man of their “dreams”, is that man that is tall, dark/light and handsome. For others it is that man that is not necessarily handsome but has lots of money etc., get the picture? While for the men, it is that girl/woman who is beautiful with a really good figure, and for others, it is that girl/ woman who can cook, is sociable or very educated etc. Now, whatever your dream woman or man might be matters to God, but it does not supersede the most important aspect of why you should marry which is for fulfilling purpose. In other words, God wants you to marry that person who has everything that you desire in a spouse as long as that person also meets the recommendation or requirements of fitting purpose. As long as they both will complement each other to fulfill God’s plan for their lives, the other things that we desire in them can come too. So how do I know that this person that I want to marry is the one that meets God’s purpose for me? This is a very important question that many do not ask or seek an- ARRY ME? 2 his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel”. The bible says that such a man who cannot feed his family is not a Christian. swers to before they enter into holy matrimony. Many, who are planning to become married someday, do not take the time to invest in marriage while yet single; instead they invest in the plan of the wedding ceremony and not in the marriage itself. What I mean by this is that while single (men and women) they plan how the wedding day will be grand, what limousine they will use, what gown or tuxedo they will wear, and they do not pray about who they will or should marry. Praying specifically about the person being God’s perfect will for their lives, who together they will accomplish God’s purpose for them should be paramount in the hearts and minds of those who plan to become married. We are to pray specifically about our future spouse need to know and grow in God, understand God’s concepts and principles of marriage, understand the duties of a husband and father, or wife and mother depending on what gender is praying, and most of all pray for yourself that God would prepare you for marriage. And yes, also pray for that spouse to be tall dark/light and handsome if that is your desire for your husband, and for her to be beautiful, great figure etc. for your wife if you so desire. God is not angry that we desire good things, NO!!! Just don’t make it the most important or only criteria for choosing a spouse, or make it more needed than the spiritual ones. Now, I cannot guarantee you that you will get everything that you asked for in that spouse, but I can tell you that the ones that you will surely get in him or her are those that are necessary to help both of you accomplish God’s purpose and plans for you lives. The importance and necessity to pray about getting married to “the who” and “the when” way before we get married cannot be overemphasized. Like everything else that matters to a Christian in life, we are to give our marriage plans to God and allow Him to lead us to the right partners. This will go a long way to ensure that we have a successful marriage. Then another way to help us to know or recognize the right partner is by using your knowledge of the word and wisdom from God. This works by you who is planning to be married someday investing ample time in knowing about marriage the God way. Read good books on marriage, attend marriage seminars and conferences. Ask questions about marriage from people you know have successful marriages; and the most important of all, know what the bible says about marriage. When you invest in knowing about how marriage should be while single, it becomes easy to recognize the right partner when they come because you will both speak the same

language (same concepts and ideas) on marriage. You will not be shallow to only look at the outward appearance, but deep to see the inward by the spirit of God. It becomes easy to say NO to that man who asks you “will you marry me” even if he has all the other things that you dreamed off but lacked the most important: the spiritual. It also becomes easier for the man not to propose to that woman that meets every of his “male-ish” desires but lacks the most important ….a Proverbs 31:10-31 woman. Now in the hearts of these unmarried people, something else in their marriage quest has taken precedence over what they want, over what they desire, over what the dreamed off in the natural. God, His plan and purpose for them now supersedes everything else. And God our Father being who He is, loving and caring will make sure that you marry the very best that He has for you because you put Him first. He did it for me, and has done it for countless others. He will do it for you too. So put Him first, trust in Him and you will not be sorry or disappointed that you did; Glory to God.
