from the pastor s desk by pastor rohan hepkins 2/22/11 it s a thing called it s neither hot nor is it cold it s neither bought nor is it sold it s not to hoard nor is it doled it s something for the heart to hold it s something on which humanity is based it s needed more to continue that pace it s something not predetermined by race it s somewhat more a thing of grace it s a value that is acknowledged by face it s just a thing one can never erase it s one of those things you ll forever cherish it s just a thing that will never perish it s something that we will forever nourish it s beauty that won t ever tolerate rubbish it s memories we ll hold onto forever and relish it s just a thing that we can never embellish it s a reminiscing which always brings about charm it s just a thing that will stem undue harm it s thoughts will always keep us so warm it s the process of calm right after the storm it s the harmony found together on a farm it s just a thing that won t cause an alarm it s that of wine and of elegance it s a thing of life s perfect relevance it s a thing that preserves all honor and dignity it s the essence of life s perfect magnanimity it s amazing and wholesome persevering in sanctity it s a thing that upholds all human capacity it s something just like a firm hand s grip it s something also known as true friendship beloved as we enter into march we are prepared for another annual diversity day celebration bonanza and to express these thoughts for the second month in a row the pastoral article is a poem a poem can be a powerful literary device and throughout my life i ve penned dozens of poem s and they all seem to come in different seasons when i m profoundly inspired the creative juices start to flow and so i write this month s theme of our lives together not just as a chapel fellowship proper but its essence of friendship koinonia and closeness inspired me to write and share the above poem i will not say much in this space but will allow the words to prayerfully minister to you as its inspiration quite profoundly did for me.
